Lonesome Dove Energy LLC was founded in 2013 to meet the need for investors seeking income away from traditional stock and bond investments.
Our goals are to provide on time and cost efficient drilling in some of the very best development oil and gas fields in Texas, provide clear and timely communications to our joint venture partners, and to provide transparency in all aspects including providing all relevant information available to potential joint venture partners.
Purposeful
Lonesome Dove Energy raises capital to fund oil production and drilling projects. Currently we are funding an oil drilling project in the Texas Gulf Coast region, specifically Galveston County Texas.
Our success is built on partnering with some of the best and most well known geologist, generators and operators in the business that have a long track record of success.

President and CEO
George Cone is the president and CEO. Mr. Cone founded Lonesome Dove Energy LLC in 2013. George hails from Dallas, Texas, and is the proud son of a World War II veteran.
Mr. Cone earned his two Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Business Administration and Political Science from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He also attended the University of Freiburg, in Germany’s Black Forest, his junior year abroad where he learned German.
Mr. Cone also earned a Masters Degree in E-Commerce from the University of Dallas. George began his career as an International Banker working in London, Frankfurt, and Hong Kong where he became an institutional stockbroker.
Mr. Cone returned to Texas due to his father’s terminal illness and then worked in the advertising industry for seventeen years before transitioning to the oil business over a decade ago.
